Is honesty in friendship overrated??

Sorry for interrupting my story.. will definitely finish that. in the meanwhile this question popped up in my head and i decided to get people's opinion on it.
How honest will you be ?? how honest do you expect your friends to be??
From my side i would not expect them to tell me everything but they had something to say to me say i expect them to come out and say it, if they have to ask me something id expect them to just ask, if they were angry with me..I'd rather they take it out on me ( maybe ill feel bad but in the end id love the fact that they were honest)... but maybe what i expect is a little too much...i probably don't follow what i preach all the time either...
Please do post your opinions.
PS: to all the people who want to call me immediately and ask me if anything is wrong.. nothing is.. i wanted to know what people think
